Castrated dogs and spayed bitches are eligible for entry. 4. Only those dogs actually taking part in the current test being judged are allowed at the test. 5. The Regulations relating to licensing and to all other matters to do with Field Trials as set in Schedule 3 (Championship Breed Shows) and Schedule 4 (Non-Championship Breed Shows) of the Constitution of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa shall apply to Field Trials so far as they can be relevant to Field Trials and so far as they do not conflict with the specific terms of Schedule 5C(5). A copy of the rules will be available at the Tests. 6. Anyone on the venue at a Tests openly impugning the decision of a Judge or Judges shall render himself liable to be reported to KUSA under the provisions of KUSA Schedule 1. 7. Conditions attracting immediate disqualification are set out in Regulation 31 of Schedule 3 of KUSA Regulations for Championship Shows (with exception of clauses 31.3.4, 31.3.6 and 31.3.14). 8. If the club considers the weather and/or venue unfit for the holding of the Tests, a meeting may be held at a different venue or date. If the Tests should be cancelled, entry fees will be refunded. 9. The Test Committee reserves the right to change the advertised venue of the Tests if this becomes necessary due to fire, flooding, etc, at the time of the event. KUSA must be informed on the first working day after the Tests. 10. If an advertised Judge is prevented from filling his/her engagement for either the whole or part of the Tests the Committee shall have the right to appoint another Judge. 11. There is a possibility that an invited International Judge and Learner Judge may be added to the Judges list. 12. JUDGES HAVE FINAL DECISION. Where the Rule or Guide does not cover a particular situation, the decision will remain with the appointed Judges on the day. DEFINITION OF THE TESTS: 1. SA-VJP (Youth Hunting Test) is for dogs from six (6) months not exceeding eighteen (18) months of age, dating from and inclusive of the date of its birth on the first day of the test. It is a young dog natural ability test. 2. SA-HZP / SA-OZP (Advanced Hunting Test / Older Dog Hunting Test) The priority of the S-HZP is the determination of the development of the natural abilities of the young dog in view of its suitability and future use as a Versatile Gundog. The test is for Pointing Breeds under 2 years of age without restriction as to previous performance. The SA-HZP was developed to evaluate the natural abilities of a young dog, especially order to identify the best dogs for breeding and rate the breeding quality of their parents. For this reason, the test is open to dogs up to an age of two (2) years. If dogs due to unforeseen circumstances can’t be tested before turning two (2) years, they are allowed to run the test to a maximum age of six (6) years. In that case the test will be named SA-OZP (Older Dog Hunting Test) Although older dogs can be tested for the sake of breeding excellence and comparability, every effort should be made to test the young dog, before it turns two (2) years. 3. SA-VGP (Utility Hunting Test) is a performance test for Pointing Breeds with the aim to produce dogs for the ethical conduct of hunting and to foster the knowledge of training and handling of these dogs in the hunting community. The test has no restriction to age. 4. SA-VPS (After Shot Hunting Test) is a performance test for all Gundog breeds with the aim to produce dogs for the ethical conduct of hunting and to foster the knowledge of training and handling of these dogs in the hunting community. The test has no restriction of age.
