KUSA National Dog: Only Champions of record are eligible to enter. Champion Certificate or KUSA Letter of Confirmation must have been issued before closing date. KUSA NATIONAL FINAL AWARDS PROGRAMME TO BE ADVISED CLOSER TO SHOW DATE. KUSA NATIONAL HANDLER COMPETITION: Adult Handler 11h30 - Prelims (with own dog): After completion of all Group Judging for KUSA Nationals Breed. SHORTLIST TO 4 Finals: With National Finals on Saturday PM. Programme TBA Open to all Handlers over 18 years of age. No person may enter both the Junior Handler Class and the Adult Handler Class. Child Handler Upon completion of Adult Handler Prelims. Prelims (with own dog) SHORTLIST TO 4 Finals: With National Finals on Saturday PM. Programme TBA For persons of eight (8) but under twelve (12) years of age on the day of the National Competition, who have qualified to enter in terms of Regulation 5 of Schedule 05E(12). By invitation only. Junior Handler Upon completion of Child Handler Prelims. Prelim (with own dog but will swap dogs during judging) SHORTLIST TO 4 Finals: With National Finals on Saturday PM. Programme TBA For persons of eleven (11), but under eighteen (18) years of age. Only open to Handlers whose eighteenth (18th) birthday does not fall on or before 30th May, 2026. By invitation only. All National Handler Winners will be presented with their awards on completion of the final judging DOGSPORT: Please refer to SCHEDULE 05E(11) – REGULATIONS FOR THE KENNEL UNION OF SOUTHERN AFRICA NATIONAL AWARDS – Clause 5 for qualifications for entry to the KUSA NATIONALS 5.2 – Obedience – Class “C” 5.8 – Carting – Senior: Mini & Standard 5.11 – Flyball 5.15 – Rally Dog – Masters or Grand Masters NB: NO Qualifying Certificates are required to be submitted attesting to legitimate qualification, however, random checks will be performed. DOGSPORT RUNNING ORDERS: Provisional running orders for all Shows will be posted on the official Exhibitor WhatsApp Group 48 hours after closing date for all queries to be resolved. Regulations & Disclaimers:
Please take note of the following: • Only dogs with a KUSA Registration Number are eligible to enter Shows and those dogs which have been given showing dispensation by the KUSA Office for these Shows. • Only Members of the Kennel Union shall be entitled to enter dogs in their registered ownership in any Championship Dog Show licensed by the Kennel Union. • Exhibits will be marked absent if called 3 times. • Bitches in season may only be shown in Breed Classes at all events and exhibitors must exercise due consideration towards other exhibits. • No animal other than an exhibit entered for competition or exhibition shall be allowed on the grounds, with the exception of registered guide dogs. • No late entries will be accepted. • The Show Committee reserves the right to allocate to Open Class any dog entered in a class for which it is not eligible. • No refunds of entry fees will be made for any errors whatsoever made by the owner/exhibitor/authorised agent. • All owners/exhibitors/authorised agents/handlers are advised that they and any exhibit entered in any event over the KUSA Classic Weekend may be photographed for, by, or on behalf of KUSA for the use and possible publication of such photograph by KUSA. Due to time constraints, no posed photography will be permitted in the Main Ring. A special area for the taking of photographs will be provided. • The Show Committee reserves the right to appoint alternative Judges; re-allocate Breeds and advise all exhibits entered; or adjust the judging times prior to the Show, should the appointed Judges be unable to officiate, or receive too large or too small an entry. • Order of Breed judging for the Championship Shows is in alphabetical order in accordance with Schedule 2 Appendix “A”, unless otherwise indicated. • The KUSA website, KUSA Classic 2026 Facebook Page and KUSA Classic 2026 WhatsApp Group are the only communication media officially recognised by the Show Committee. Please keep the grounds and bathrooms clean. When grooming and/or exercising your dogs, please clean up after them. Do not leave it for others or the ring stewards to do. Public catering will be provided at all Shows and events.
