Draw for running order conducted on Wednesday, April 3, 8:00 pm at 28 Westerdale Road, Durbanville Rules: 1. All Handlers are personally responsible to always control their dogs and shall be personally liable for any claims which may be in respect of injuries which may arise or be caused by their dogs. All persons attending the tests must consider themselves absolutely under the control of the Officials. 2. Bitches in season within the precinct of the Shooting Ratings and Natural Ability are forbidden. 3. Bitches in season may, for Versatile Tests (Schedule 5C(6)) only be allowed at the discretion of the club. The Test Director shall ensure that bitches in season are run last and only after all other dogs have completed various elements of the Test(s). The Test Director and Judges are responsible for ensuring that the performance of the other testing dogs will not suffer due to the presence of a bitch on heat. 4. Castrated dogs and spayed bitches are eligible for entry. 5. Only those dogs actually taking part in the current test being judged are allowed at the test. 6. The Regulations relating to licensing and to all other matters to do with Field Trials as set in Schedule 3 (Championship Breed Shows) and Schedule 4 (Non-Championship Breed Shows) of the Constitution of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa shall apply to Field Trials so far as they can be relevant to Field Trials and so far as they do not conflict with the specific terms of Schedule 5C(4) and 5C(6). A copy of the rules will be available at the Tests. 7. Anyone on the venue at a Tests openly impugning the decision of a Judge or Judges shall render himself liable to be reported to KUSA under the provisions of KUSA Schedule 1, unless he is availing himself of Section 1.9.3 of Schedule 5C(3) 8. Conditions attracting immediate disqualification are set out in Regulation 31 of Schedule 3 of KUSA Regulations for Championship Shows (with exception of clauses 31.3.4, 31.3.6 and 31.3.14). 9. If the club considers the weather and/or venue unfit for the holding of the Tests, a meeting may be held at a different venue or date. If the Tests should be cancelled, entry fees will be refunded. 10. The Test Committee reserves the right to change the advertised venue of the Tests if this becomes necessary due to fire, flooding, etc, at the time of the event. KUSA must be informed on the first working day after the Tests. 11. If an advertised Judge is prevented from filling his/her engagement for either the whole or part of the Tests the Committee shall have the right to appoint another Judge. 12. JUDGES HAVE FINAL DECISION. Where the Rule or Guide does not cover a particular situation, the decision will remain with the appointed Judges on the day. DEFINITION OF THE TESTS: Schedule 5C(4) SHOOTING RATINGS •*Novice Shooting Dog (NSD) is open to all young or untrained inexperienced dogs to determine if they have hunting aptitudes. * Novice Retrieving Dog (NRD) is open to any dog of any age that has met the minimum requirements of the Novice Shooting * Shooting Dog (SD) is open to all dogs of any age that have met the minimum requirements of the Novice Shooting Dog, and must have hunting ability, bird sense and show some field training *Retrieving Dog (RD) is open to any dog of any age that has met the minimum requirements of the Novice Retrieving dog test. Dog test. Retrieving Dog and the Retrieving Dog tests. Schedule 5C(6) VERSATILE TESTS – POINTING BREEDS 1. SA-Derby Test (SA-D) is for dogs from five (5) months not exceeding eighteen (18) months of age, dating from and inclusive of the date of its birth on the first day of the test. It is a young dog natural ability test. 2. SA-Novice Test (SA-N) is for dogs from five (5) months of age without restriction as to upper age. The SA-Novice Test is an introductory versatile test for novice dogs and/or handlers. | |||
